What is the Reason for Loose Dental Implants?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dental implants can become loose for several reasons. It can be something as simple as the crown slightly detached from the implant post, or it can be far more serious, such as peri-implantitis, which can lead to implant failure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peri-implantitis is similar to gum disease with bacteria attacking the soft tissues surrounding your implant. If this proves to be the problem, your dentist will likely recommend periodontal treatment to address the infection. A bone graft might also be necessary if too much bone is lost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
